At the onset of every new year, many of us make the same empty promise to ourselves: “This is the year I’m going to get in shape.”
Given the vast number of us who never fulfill this promise, it is clear that many of us find it difficult to get and stay motivated.
Yoga is a unique system of physical, mental and spiritual self-improvement that has been around for thousands of years. Yoga’s exercises and breathing techniques relax the mind and body, and create vitality and flexibility. Many people complain, I can’t do yoga; I’m not flexible. Well, that’s why you do yoga-to become more flexible.
We need to get moving! Physical activity has a number of benefits for the body and mind. Exercise reduces our risk for type 2 diabetes, high-blood pressure and heart disease.
