Minding Her Business: Rebecca Palumbo

Rebecca Palumbo CreativeName of business:

Rollins Palumbo Creative

How long you have been in business for yourself?:

Almost 21 years (yikes! How did that happen??)

Business product or service:

Design, advertising and marketing services, from logo design to social media messaging and management.

What led you to start your business?:

I started as a freelance designer, working part-time with two babies
at home. As my children grew, so did my businesses and the services I offer.

What kept/keeps you going during challenging times?:

I love what I do. I believe that by helping businesses grow, I help people put food on the table, clothe their children and take vacations. I am a force for positive economic development!

One lesson you’ve learned during your entrepreneurial journey:

Business owners, of any kind, are the hardest, longest and most intense working people out there – and the happiest.

One thing about your business that makes you smile:

When a client relates positive response and engagement to our marketing efforts – and when my now-adult children see something in public that I’ve designed and tell my friends “My mom made that!”

Favorite motivational quote:

“Well-behaved women rarely make history.”

Favorite chocolate:

Gracious – can I say all of them? If I have to pick, it would be a wonderful Hershey’s chocolate bar. Oooo! Or a Fannie May Milk Chocolate Cream. And Toblerone is exquisite too.
